Who is Sebastian Stan?
Sebastian Stan (born August 13, 1982) is a Romanian and American actor. Born in Constanța, Romania, Stan relocated to Vienna, Austria, at age eight following the Romanian Revolution, before immigrating to the United States at twelve. After studying theater at Rutgers University and Shakespeare's Globe, he made his professional film debut in The Architect (2006) and peformed in the Broadway play Talk Radio (2007). He has built a prolific screen career spanning blockbusters and independent films since the 2000s, with a global box-office gross exceeding $7 billion. He gained early recognition for appearing in the series Gossip Girl (2007–2010) as Carter Baizen and Kings (2009), followed by the films Hot Tub Time Machine (2010) and Black Swan (2010).
Historical significance
His accolades include a Golden Globe Award and a Silver Bear, as well as nominations for an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two Critics' Choice Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award.
